Project Consultations

For custom rug commissions, tapestries, or interior textile projects, we recommend scheduling a consultation. Bring your space dimensions, color references, and material preferences to discuss the possibilities.

Notes on Custom Orders

Each commission begins with a conversation about your space, the light it receives, and how you intend to use the piece. From there we develop a proposal covering materials, dimensions, and weaving timeline before any work begins.

Materials and Sourcing

Virgin wool is sourced from selected farms where shearing practices align with our standards. Organic cotton is certified and traceable to its origin. Natural dyes are prepared in small batches; because they are plant-based, slight tonal variation between dye lots is inherent and should be expected.

Production Timeline

A typical rug requires four to eight weeks on the loom depending on size and pattern complexity. We provide a written schedule at the start of each project and update you at each stage. Rush orders are not always possible, as the weaving process cannot be accelerated without compromising quality.

Color and Pattern Approvals

Before weaving begins, we prepare a physical sample showing the yarn colors and a scaled pattern sketch. This sample is your reference point. Once approved, we proceed with production. Because natural dyes interact with wool fibers in subtle ways, the final piece may differ slightly from the sample—this is part of the character of handcrafted textiles.

Care and Maintenance

Handwoven rugs benefit from regular rotation and gentle vacuuming. We provide specific care instructions with each delivery, including guidance on spot cleaning and professional washing. With proper care, a well-made piece will serve for decades and age gracefully.

Shipping and Delivery

Pieces are carefully rolled and packed for transport. We coordinate delivery logistics with you directly and can arrange white-glove service for larger installations. Insurance is included for the full value of the piece during transit.
